The rest of the day is yours to explore, or to simply relax on one of the lovely lake shore promenades. Lucerne is also a shopper's favorite. Before crossing the border into Italy, make an early lunch stop in Lugano, often referred to as the "Rio de Janeiro of the Old Continent".
